How will my donation be used?
All donations will be used to supply and sustain the youth center. Whether that is paying employees to keep it running, purchasing items for within the center, contributing to fundraising events, or helping pay the costs to keep the building running. Some donations can be directed towards supporting specific youth and/or activities as well. If you'd like to learn more, visit our blog.
Can I make a donation by check?
Yes, you can make a donation by check. You must make the check out to Legacy Youth Center, Inc.
How much of my donation is going directly to people in need?
As Legacy becomes bigger, we will have to pay salary for the staff that works in the Legacy building. This, however, still contributes to the youth as these employees give their time and energy into making a safe, fun, and productive environment for the youth.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Legacy is an official 501(c)(3) organization which can affect taxes. We cannot give this kind of advice but you can ask your CPA or tax preparer about how donating might benefit you.
How can I apply for a job with you?
If you would like to join our staff, please visit our "Contact" page and send us an email with your name, what position you are interested in, and why you are interested in that position.
I don't have much money. Can I help?
Yes! You can 100% still help. In fact, there are many ways that the community can help the youth center. To read in detail, please visit our blog. The simplest way to help aside from monetarily is to follow us on social media and make sure that you interact and share our information so that it can get to other people. It really does take a village, so the more people who know and can support, the better the youth center will do. Additionally, if you are getting rid of anything such as art supplies, books, instruments, activities, cooking utensils, etc. that are in good shape, we can use as much as we can get for the youth to pursue their passions.
Can I dedicate my donations?
Yes, you can dedicate your donation to a specific event, activity, or youth registered with Legacy Youth Center. If you'd like to know how to do this, please contact us through our contact page.
Can I make a donation on the phone if I don't want to donate online?
Yes, we want to make the process as easy as possible for you. You can send an email to schedule a call or you can simply call us and we can make the payment or plan a time to make the payment.
Are you associated with other Legacy centers?
As of now, Legacy Youth Center, Inc. in Lake Havasu is the only Legacy Youth Center of it's kind. We are not associated with any other Legacy centers and we have a very different foundation than other potential centers.
Do youth have to pay to be at Legacy Youth Center?
The goal of Legacy is to not have any costs for the youth to attend/visit the youth center. We want all youth to be able to hangout at the center so that they don't feel like other things are the only option because they're free. At some point, our vision for Legacy is to have a coffee shop within the youth center so that proceeds from that can also contribute to Legacy.
We exist to give youth a place that they can call their own and learn how they fit into the larger community. Youth should have every opportunity to find where they fit and make a mark where they can.
